Load Calculation

It is important to use the correct grating type on your project.The correct grating type is dependant on the required bearing weight, the span and the type of traffic.

Referring to the diagram above, we can vary the height, thickness and pitch of the bearing bars to acheive the necessary strength.

As shown below we have created a simplified table below to work as a guide in your product selection . More information on loading calculation can be found in our catalog (Rhino_Grating_Catalog_2007_3mb.pdf) on pages 11 and 12.
